I came to try it pretty late. Probably around 2010 or so. Did not expect much.

But as other anons stated before, the technological problems can be dealt with to some degree.

What annoyed me the most was the capped framerate (there is a fix).

The atmosphere, the world, the NPCs... everything is really well done and I would say even today it is still really good.

Just give it a try man!
