I wish they would have kept the multiple characters or at least were able to make a sequel, seems like so much was cut.

I replay this game once a year if possible. I liked it as a kid and I honestly like it even more now as an adult. I'm well aware that the game is clearly in a rushed unfinished state, but I always thought that was charming in a weird way. The fact that most of the game was barren gave this lingering eerie feeling to the whole atmosphere. Also, the combat system which to this day still seems pretty damn unique. The game also had a really nice OST that flowed well while adventuring.

However, I'm not delusional. I understand why people would dislike or even hate the game, but it really doesn't matter in the end.

I would like to see what they would have done with a sequel though. It would have been really interesting to see all of the cut content and what they actually had planned.

I actually thoroughly enjoy Quest 64. I play and finish it at least once or twice a year. I'm well aware it is very basic and barren RPG, but I've always found the barren world eerie and unique. I still adore that one broken down mansion in town (forget name), but it's odd that you can almost create your own story to the game since it barely has one to begin with. Anyway, clearly understand why anyone would hate the game, but it's always been charming in an odd way.

That said, this game could have really benefited from a sequel... or at the very least create the game they wanted to from the beginning.

I heard about that. Dame shame too. Were they intending to release it on the N64?

The forest was a nice environment, a little crazy at times since it felt like you could be walking in circles. The boss in that area is fucking tough as nails; in fact, most boss fights are insane.

It's interested when you come across certain parts of the game, like the boulder in the underground cave. It apparently was supposed to be a shortcut to one of the towns, but they didn't have enough time which is why they blocked it off with said boulder.
