I'm American and not underage. Just because it showed up in a magazine doesn't mean people gave a fuck about it. Few people cared about Shitbound. It's a modern hipster game.

Nintendo advertised Shitbound pretty hard and people still didn't buy it. I still remember the stack of strategy guides at my local shop. Also Nintendo Power reviewed many obscure games.

I'll be damned if it didn't work though. Well, on me at least. As a kid I fucking loved that Play It Loud era of Nintendo advertisement. Hell, people love to make fun of the "this game stinks" Earthbound ad campaign, but I was into that gross-out Nickelodeon style humor, so that actually sold me on the game and made me beg for it for Christmas (which was a tough sell because it was a $90 game). Sure you can look back and think they're stupid, but there's a charm there that was pretty much completely lost by the time the Wii era hit and the marketing became bland and family friendly.

Now that I think about it I can probably care less that they're dead now. Fuck Nintendo Power.

I couldn't be arsed to finish it. Way too much fucking grinding got bored.
The OST and story and NPCs are awesome as expected. If you played M2 first, it will feel like a simpler version of that.
