v-ism isn't really a "you win" button, getting the crouch cancel infinites people bitch about so much is really hard to do and one fuck up can cost you the entire combo and your v-bar.
Japan still has an active scene for A3 and they have been using more chars than just the top tiers (sodom, akuma, gief, sakura, ryu, dhalsim, etc..) and they have been improving their game against the V-ism.
