I imagine most people will dismiss this game outright because it's a porno game. But if you can get over that premise Yu-No is one of the best adventure games I know. Time travelling and point and click mechanics, it's not just a straight VN. It's definitively in my Top10. Amazing visuals and music, it has the whole package, just don't play the recent "remaster", play the fan english translation.

It could have something to do with the fact that people aren't particularly interested in western developed games. Japanese computers like the Sharp X68000 and the NEC PC-98 are somewhat mainstream because people seem to be more interested in the games released on those platforms.

As for essential DOS games, you can't go wrong with recommending DOOM and the LucasArts point and click titles. I think they have a pretty big range of appeal.

I don't see a reason to play the remake over the original unless for comfort reasons. What I mean by that, is that you'll have to play it on a PC, and the remake is probably really comfy to just play on Switch in your couch or wherever. But the fucking art just looks horrendous to me in comparison.
The fan translation patch has best everything, in every measurable way, unless you're a normie that's repulsed by pixels, but this is /vr/, so I assume not. Better music, better graphics, not censored, and adds the great Voice acting from the Saturn version.

Listen to this and tell me you rather play the remake:

Oh and by the way, the original script writer and musician are both dead, and elf the original publisher is also dead, so I'm not sure what you would be supporting with giving money to whoever bought the rights to this.

Someone around have a 99% save for the game after the "true end" and before the music box?
I'm suck at 99% and I don't know how to 100% this

Yu-No

You'll probably want to dismiss it because it looks just like another shitty eroge, but honestly, give it a chance.

There's an english patch for the windows version.
