The connector is broken in a minor way, it's hard to see in the picture but a tiny bit of plastic broke and the plastic plate that holds the metal connector is detached from the plastic sheath around it, but the metal connector is still fully attached to the wires within. Basically, you can't safely unplug it just by gripping the plastic sheath as you normally would. If I cracked it open there might be something obviously wrong, but it's probably not worth trying to fix that way when I could just buy a used 1st party controller for about the same price as a new retrobit one.

Hmm, I do have a Virge card but it's a late model AGP unit, so that's no help. I don't even remember what's inside my DOS machine (rightmost in the picture) right now. I have some of the older Trio64 cards and some Voodoo2 I'm not using though, which could be fun. Really, I enjoy putting things together and making them work more than actually playing the games.

I can't help but cram as much as I can into that bench space. It's in an unfinished basement so I'm not really going for "interior design." If there were another square inch of space, I'd find something to cram into it. The dreamcast doesn't usually live there, at least, I just moved it there for the family photo (and to cover up the not-retro Wii hiding behind it).

A little while ago I had an episode of autism and decided to catalog my old hardware in a spreadsheet. Started with the graphics cards and never finished.
