very few RPGs on the N64. there was a japan only one as well but I forget its name.

then this game is close to phantasy RPG atmosphere but it's a pure first person adventure game. still great.

other games: Bomberman 64 is a must play.
Goemon games, Snowboard Kids, Mischief Makers, any Rareware game is a must play.
Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness are nice too.

hey /vr/, Can you recommend me some good first person adventures?

I really loved playing Shadowgate 64 as a teen (looking forward to Zojoi's ShaGa NES remake too) and recently I played and finished Echo Night by From Software which is pretty similar in a lot of ways. I love that kind of games. Games that make me think about what to do with my environment, putting levers into machines, figuring out word and number based puzzles, solving other riddles related to causality and time, going through labyrinths or similar maps. I really enjoy that. So what else is a must-play adventure title in your opinion?

You may also recommend point and click adventures as they are something I can appreciate as well but there is just something about first person perspective in that games that make them a lot more immersive.

Shadowgate.

I know there is yet another fucking NES rehash coming out on Kickstarter but Shadowgate belongs to just two guys who did fuck all with it in all those years and boy, why not make an entirely new Shadowgate game once in a while.

I will never stop whining about how SG Rising never got released on N64 or anywhere.

I know them Shadowgate 64 feels very well, OP. great feels.

also, King's Field on PS1 fits the description pretty well.

by far

mostly because of its excellent soundtrack and medieval surroundings and being more careful with any magic effect.

I wanna drink that dragon tears elixir myself now.
