>mm, what about feeding Y into all three inputs? And then
Y is just brightness, so feeding it to all three wouldn't do much for you color wise.

>And then... I don't know, combinging with the Pb and Pr? Those are just colour difference signals, no? But they're analogue. What could i do with them?
They need to compared to Y in order for you to get proper colors out of them. The image I posted is 240p Component being fed into a monitor that thinks it's getting RGsB. You get some color, but it's very dark and green tinted.

I know there are circuits out there for going from the YPbPr color space to RGB, but I'm not sure if they'd be applicable in this situation. A simple google search brings up something that looks like it could be made for maybe $20-25, based of the LT6552. It also, technically, seems to be generating RsGsBs rather than just sync on green. Not sure if that'd throw a wrench in things or not.
Disclaimer: I am not too smart when it comes to electronics and circuits, so it could be completely useless.

If you want some cheap chinese piece of shit, you don't need someone to tell you whether it's good or not; It's cheap chinese shit.
If you want something that is going to do it properly, no fucking duh it's going to cost a decent chunk of change.

>Actually look it up before assuming.
>RGB signals cannot be passively converted to component. It would require an active converter.
I'm not assuming at all.
Analog to Analog is just an easier and generally cheaper (something you're adamant about) process than a digital to analog conversion.
You get VGA's RGBHV to RGsB and the only difference between it and YPbPr on the display front is a matter of color space.
