Anyone get nostalgia for just how huge an upgrade the Gameboy Color's display was over the Gameboy Pocket and Original?

The Pocket and Original had such blurry ass displays in motion; the Color on the other had a surprisingly decent refresh rate.

LED lights were a thing when the Color was around so you got to use things like pic-related. They were actually quite comfy.

Is there a front light solution, like a premium LED worm light, that isn't an internal one that fades the screen colors, or a house lamp, or the sun?

Not looking for a backlight mod, I want to keep it all original. Also for $50 the mod costs I could just buy a GBA SP or PSP and load it with roms.

Someday later I'll try it and post the results here. The more I look into these mods the more I realize it's the wild west out there. "Bivert" isn't even a real word, I mean what's going on here?
I was looking into buying a worm light but it looks like it's a pretty shitty product. Makes me wonder why there isn't some nerd out there who has made a really professional version of a port-powered positionable LED.
