Do you think the plot was going to be similar to STH3? Same zones?

What if Sonic 3D was developed for the Saturn? That would mean killing the MD earlier but could have saved the Saturn in the west.

How would you go around imagining and recreating a (hardware realistic) recreation of STH3D?

Why was the Sonic The Hedgehog 3D thread deleted? It was a genuine thread about one of retro games' white whales: the real planned sequel to Sonic 2, the real third entry in the afamed Sonic The Hedgehog series that was never brought to surface other than in some obscure interviews and hidden files.
All we know about it is:
-It began development in 1993
-They were using the SVP
-It was a fully 3D game
-Sonic was going to be redesigned because he would be a more adult version of Sonic
-It was cancelled mid-production due to SVP manufacturing shortage, but the prototype must exist somewhere in Sega HQ
-Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were just quick games they did in a few months, when they had to suspend development of STH3D.

What if Sega actually let Sonic Team experiment with the SVP and make the real Sonic 3, aka Sonic 3D? Instead of making Sonic 3 and subsequently Sonic & Knuckles.
