Hey guys, I just beat SotN with Alucard for the first time. The whole game seemed extremely easy... Belmont was hitting me for 1's. I was wearing Holy Armor, is that something intended for the New Game+ or something? I remember Aria of Sorrow being much more diff icult.

Anything from PS1-era Castlevania. The designs are really fancy and ornate.

Leon S Kennedy's outfit is pretty cool, too. And Strider.

My first time playing this, so apologies if I sound like a dumbass.

How do you see your weapon's attribute? Like, I know red rust can curse enemies, but how would I find that out in game other than attacking enemies? Is there anything else that indicates it?

Also Metroidvania general, I suppose.

So guys, I'm going to start Symphony of the Night. Anything you think I should know? Be it tips or just fun facts.

On a related note, what version of SOTN is the best? I'm going to be playing the PSX version, which I know lacks some content compared to the Saturn version. Did the Dracula X Chronicles version add it back?

What is the best emulator/settings to use for playing CastleVania: Symphony of the Night?

Right now I'm working on PSX titles. Just beat pic related. The oldest I collect for is the Vectrex.
