/vr/ - Retro Games

I have been playing the first MGS game and have recently come to the end of Disc 1. The version I downloaded was this one:

However, upon trying to load ANY Disc 2 I've found online, the Emulator greets me with an error message that it can not load the file. What can I do to continue playing the game? I am really enjoying it.

While I appreciate the "art," I honestly don't find these games very fun. The shooting is clunky and the overhead camera should have been tossed after the PSO. I actually think Zelda does stealth gameplay better than Metal Gear Solid.

I hate this game. Hear me out. This is not some bait thread to get yous because an unpopular opinion triggers people.

This game is full of cut scenes, sequences and constant interruptions that KICK you out of the game (play) so there actually is no smooth flow.
I know Hideo makes movie games and the guy would have better been off making movies but this is NOT a good thing.
I feel like MGS/the MGS series is part responsible and at fault for what I hate so much about modern games.
Modern games are all about cut scenes it seems they are are just movie games.
I like retro games because they are about the game and the game play. You just play it and it's fun. It isn't constant cut scenes that take you out of it and that movie experience.
So MGS paved a way I hate today and maybe if it wasn't for Mr Kojima a person who never got a chance to direct a movie gaming would look differently today / modern games would be fun.
I hate MGS for this so much.

Also the dialogues are so badly written it's just awkward and embarrassing to read. Do people over 12 SERIOUSLY think this is cool?
