I heard some people say Tomb Raider is better on Saturn, but it seems to be mixed opinions.
I wouldn't say Resident Evil is 'better' on Saturn, but it's certainly unique to the PS1 version. It has some unique costumes, new skins for Hunters in the caves and a second Tyrant fight. Most importantly it has the "battle mode" which is a mildly cool post-game feature.

I'm in the same boat.

Mega SD
Cost - $250AUD
Rating - Excellent, let's me play Sega CD games and just about every Mega Drive game for a fraction of what a Mega CD would cost me.

Sega Saturn + MODE
Cost: about $350 AUD
Rating: Fantastic, I've used it so much because there's a ton of Saturn games I want to play, both retail and unofficial patches/mods. It's much more reliable and easy than burning CDs which I did previously. It also is of course far cheaper than paying for Saturn games.

GDEMU Clone
Cost: <$100 AUD
Rating: Great, it's played everything I want so far with no issues. Again, easier and more reliable than burning CDs which was my previous method. Getting box-art/disc art is hit or miss compared to the MODE, but the menu is perfectly functional and nice. Loading games is a lot more of a pain than MODE, but to be expected considering the price.

PS2+OPL
Cost: <$50AUD
Rating: Excellent, no hardware modding required, super easy to set up. I just bought a memory card and set it up myself. Hardest part was burning a DVD (I think you can buy cards that have this pre-done if you don't have a burner). I have it just plugged directly into my laptop via ethernet cable since my laptop is usually stationed near the console anyway. I just download the games to a folder and they're ready to play. I notice some laggy cut-scenes very rarely, and once or twice had a crash, but that's over hundreds of hours. Super convenient.

Non arcade port games that are notable;

Shining Force III Trilogy/Wisdom/Holy Ark
Legend of Oasis/Story of Thor II
Burning Rangers
Panzer Dragoon/Zwei/Saga
Deep Fear
NiGHTS/Xmas NiGHTS
Sega Worldwide Soccer '98
Steep Slope Sliders

I haven't played but heard good things about;
D
Enemy Zero

I'm sure there's more, but this is my top of the head list of exclusive non-arcade ports.
And yes, like >>8538265 said, you have to bear in mind that the Saturn was the king of arcade ports in the late 90s. It's not as relevant now, but back then it certainly meant a huge deal to be able to play nearly arcade-pefect ports of Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, Street Fighter Alpha, Marvel Super Heroes etc.

Ah that's fair then. I didn't realise Saturn would be that much harder. When I first played it I found it quite difficult compared to 2 and CV, but thought that was just me being shite.
OK I'll try PlayStation Chris and then Jill for the Saturn run. If I still want more, I can try Chris on Saturn too.

Some will because it's a collectible, some will because they'll get caught in the hype of 'Man I heard Panzer Dragon Sega is the BEST RPG ever!'.
But I agree, that's why I'd be shocked if Sega made one, the Saturn's difficulty of emulating vs Mega Drive vs it's complete obscurity outside of Japan makes it unlikely.

That sound issue will happen on the Xbone as well, but only if you let it idle in the background for awhile and then come back to the game. The 'Focusing on Inanimate Objects During Cutscenes' bug is weird as shit though. Pic related. I think some of this was patched out in the recent update, I haven't had the cutscene thing happen since.
