For me only the official Sega Saturn pads will do.

However, I do like the Ascii Pad FT(DC)/FT2(PS2) for keeping the XYZ buttons the same size as the ABC buttons. Its D-pad is a lot more loose than my liking though.

Also the official Genesis 6 button pads are pretty good since they share the same design concepts of a Saturn pad, minus the shoulder buttons. For 3rd party, a Hyperkin GN6 controller being a pretty good imitation of Genesis 6-button controllers, but be wary of the many cheap fakes known as the "fighting putt" which are by far the worst controllers I have ever touched (a lot of youtube ecelebs show the fighting putt as if it were a real 6-button pad, you can tell with the XYZ sticking far out instead of being convex).

The Nubytech Street Fighter 15th Anniversary PS2 controllers are nice. However, I found that they did push the D-pad closer to the left edge to make room for the lenticular artwork in the center, which ruins a bit of functionality to me.

Be sure to find a nice lagless PS2 to USB adapter.

Wow, as I said the GN6 is pretty close to a real US Sega Genesis 6-button controller. So if the d-pad hurts you, a real one is only slightly better. Even though it is not for me and I don't like them, I suppose what you may really be looking for is the Madcatz fightpads which does feature a soft almost rubber-like plastic for the d-pad. It is very soft feeling, but to me somewhat "inaccurate" possibly due to the large surface area (I main charge characters like Nash, Guile, Dictator so I hold a direction quite a bit to charge and find my thumb starts sliding further to the edge and will have to "travel" more to the opposite direction to execute). Note Madcatz released 2 variations: the first ones (SF4) are much larger than the second release (SFxT). I am not sure if those are in production anymore, and I don't think there are any bootleg Chinese imitation 3rd party controllers. The Fighting Putt cheap at least and easily replaceable.

How long ago did you guys order? I am guessing they rush delivered the items because according to google, Chinese New Year is coming up at the end of this month, which I am guessing is like a month-long Chinese equivalent to Cinco de Mayo where they do no work. So I guess no orders will reasonably be fulfilled for at least the next month or so.

I believe that's what the proprietors of my workplace like to have customers think, with good looking tables. They probably paid more for a table than a day of work for me, also maybe they do their job better than I ever could doing mine as I'm more likely sooner replaced than the table. There is no hope, as I suspect the lotteries are rigged alongside the ridiculous odds, therefore I'll never be a millionaire.

Yes, it is Madcatz, Google is correct. Do note that the buttons and stick are imitations of Sanwa (that's why I intend on replacing them with actual Sanwa ones in the pic), but they are pretty close and most wouldn't notice. The stick is also replaceable but I cannot afford one now, and I am still looking up if it would support a Seimitsu LS-32-01 stick (as I prefer that brand over Sanwa for Japanese styled sticks) when I unlazy myself.

I have. I believe one should get the controllers that would be best for each individual. If you feel these would be best for you then get them.

I am always looking for a Saturn pad alternative because authentic SLS/Sega Saturn pads are getting difficult for me to get and prices have gotten pretty high (the knockoff imitation Retrolink ones I just don't like, and I can feel the difference in play). So much that I spent the last hour or so cleaning this pink USB one I got recently, shipped from one of the shadiest Japanese sellers, in a pussy color, filthy as hell, and it still cost $18USD shipped, but that's the price I have to pay because I have found the Sega Saturn pads are the best for my hands. The only thing the Ascii and Madcatz ones has over the Saturn pad are equal sized XYZ buttons to ABC, but they all fall short to me in some way.

The Madcatz SF4 controllers has a large and soft D-pad, which may be better suited for people with large hands. It feels loose to me and given that I use charge characters (like Guile/Nash/Dictator) my thumb would start sliding from the down-away position. However there are some great players which prefer these controllers like a notable Zangief and Guile players. Note the SFxT controller from Madcatz is smaller.

I spent the extra because I like the Shinkiro art. I would definitely replace the art had I spent less and got the one with naked men as its artwork. However I am more curious to that controller in the back which looks like a NES advantage
