Yeah, pretty much. I don't find it a bad game on its own, but it feels much more like an Aliens game than a Doom game, right down to the aesthetics, a lot of monster design, pacing, gameplay and environments (spacebase tech corridors on a foreign planet)

I like D3, to be honest. It's just not a Doom sequel. Considering Doom was inspired by Aliens in the first place, I can't really give id shit for it.
