Correct me if I'm wrong, this is a full standard PC keyboard. It works flawlessly and my PC has a PS/2 port on the back. So what's the issue with using old hardware?

To relate it to military gear, to this day nothing (except maybe an ATV, but that isn't a car) beats an old willys jeep for going up rocky mountain switchbacks.
(they have a small wheel base and are extremely rugged, near indestructible and easy to repair).
