What are the best versions of Wizardry? Specially the first three ones, in which there seems to be a divide between SFC and PS.

Are Wizardry titles good to introduce someone to retro wRPGs or will I get my shit pushed in?

Hey /vg/, I really love old school RPGs and I really want to get into Ultima and Wizardry. Thing is, I don't have a lot of time to spare so I wanted to play specially the best games in their series. Do I lose to much by not starting in the first game in the series or it's important? In Wizardry, is 6-7-8 a good trilogy to play?

Got interested in trying wizardry-like games, after seeing a friend of mine playing Legend of Grimrock.
Which ones do you suggest?
Which ones are the most "complex"?
Does the older Shin megami Tensei (and Strange Journey) games classify as wizardry-like (is this even the correct term?)?

Just starting this. Going to try to play Wizardries from 6 to 8. Never played any of the earlier ones before.

I don't want to be handheld but any quick starting tips? Anything I can fuck up with relating to the character creation that'll come back to haunt me in a big way?
