So I've never seriously played Megaman games before because reasons and I'm looking for a batch of games to keep me entertained. The only games I think I played a decent amount were Network Transmission on the Gamecube and the first X and I remember loving what I played. After picking up some of the Archie comics and purchasing D-arts Vile on a whim, I'm through pussyfooting around the franchise and I think I want to play the actual games.

So /vr/, Which of the classics are worth playing through and from the X series? Also where can I pick them up in a collection, or is it best to just emulate them?
