Last attempt was an abysmal failure, but darn it let's try again.

Ebay has been in the toilet lately and I want to offload some of my stuff. Maybe we can get a /bst/ thread going here again?

I got my Balloon Fight copy here - a game which I had been searching for literally for years. RIP B/S/T. Too good for this world. Too pure.

Can we get one of these going?

When I first came to /vr/, the BST threads were a regular thing. I personally got a great deal on a few NES games, including Balloon Fight (thank you again if you're out there, based Spleet) and one guy just outright gave me his copy of Lagoon.

But things fell apart. Sellers here started wanting Ebay prices while buyers wanted prices as if it was still 2003. Apparently there was also a confirmed case of someone here being a bro and letting his games go for cheap, only to find out he did it to an actual reseller who flipped them on Ebay. That didn't help.

Its shitty. eBay is a great place to buy because of the selection, and the buyer protection it offers, but its a pretty garbage place to sell due to the fees and you can get fucked over as a seller.

I mean I just bought some stuff from a guy (including Megaman 7) from the second to last /bst/. I think the problem is most people are looking for specific stuff, and like another anon said, most of the time people are only looking to move their stuff when they're liquidating, and for the most part, people only really want good games and not simply decent or ok games. The other end is people ask a lot (ebay or near ebay), and in conjunction with shipping it makes it kind of worthless since you can just buy from eBay and get the better buyer protection.

Also if you're going to make a meta-bst thread, at least use the fucking image and post stuff you're looking to buy or sell.

I'm in Canada so I know international shipping can be expensive but I'm willing to ship to anywhere in Canada and the USA. Further out is going to absolutely be a case by case basis.
