Splatterhouse 3 is pretty cool in its own way, it's a bit more polished so it doesn't have the same B-Movie grit of the first two, but it's overall pretty nice, gets the whole punching revolting monsters so hard they explode part. It's hard though, if you want a not-bad ending, you gotta floor it, the time limit is not just tight, but deceptive. This was a change after it was released in the west, so consider the Japanese ROM, it's otherwise nearly identical.

One of the things I really like about Splatterhouse 3, besides the music, is that they make Rick Taylor's design more distinct, it's neat to play as a Anti-Jason in the first one, but I like the unique mask they designed for him to make him more his own thing.
