I tried the original and ran into some troubles setting it up and messing with the controls. Ended up going for Redux and I don't regret it. Sure the ending is different but I just watched the original ending on Youtube.

Fun game overall, great sound design if you ask me. Kind of tunes well into that "psycho" feeling the player is supposed to feel.

and also, totally agree with you, having this kind of quality on the megadrive would send manufacturing costs through the roof. I'm happy with what we have though. I love how devs always paired the YM2151 up with something like the OKI or a proprietary chip for sound playback because 2151 didn't have any.
