Cave Story sits in a comfortable niche that leaves it something that /vr/ as a whole will ignore.

It didn't originally come out on a console, so it can't be used for console war bait.
It's not SUPER well known and loved, so it can't be used as contrarian bait by saying it's total dogshit or the best game ever.
There's no known drama of its development.

It's just a really good video game that came and went. So while there's undoubtedly people here that love it, there's not enough for it to be posted here on /vr/ too often.
Also the Spur is the best weapon next to the level 2 Blade.

What the fuck is with the Vampire Killer? Canonically speaking, sometimes it's made of leather, sometimes it's a chain whip, some Belmonts need to power it up, others wreck faces with it being leather alone.
