Abunai said he's stopping, because even if he ignored the drama, which in and of itself bothers him, he's simply not as interested in GCCX as he once was but may be so in the future. Kakaricho said he's stopping translating (here at least anyway) because the nature of 4chan's anonymous posting system will always incur drama, and that drama isn't worth it to him.

They're not stopping to bring ill will against a particular person - that is a delusion of grandeur of the utmost degree.

They're stopping because translating the show is a hobby to them, and hobbies are supposed to be light and fun, which this one no longer is for obvious reasons.
