Many a series live with Japanese sales only. Goemon was actually quite successful in Japan, which is why there's 4 or more games on Super Famicom (but only the first one was released in USA).
There's also another N64 Goemon game (a board game-like with RPGish elements) that wasn't released outside of Japan.

Speaking of Goemon, anybody played Mononoke Sugoroku? Looks like a board game-style kinda like mario party.
