Did you have any second-party controllers back when these consoles were still current, and which ones do you use now? Second party means that unlike those really cheap replacement controllers that there was only a market for because they were cheap, second party controllers were allowed to use the logo of the console they were for since they were licensed. At least in Nintendo's case, they also seem to have had access to first party parts which were used for the buttons.
I myself really like ASCII's Playstation controllers, the dpad is just way better than Sony's. I both have a set of ASCII V3 and that 1-handed Grip controller in case I decide to start playing RPGs. I also have Super Famicom controllers by Hudson and Imagineer, but they're really just regular controllers with turbo functions.
