I am on the verge of being a normie because I can act normal at work but am a total sperg online and when I go shopping for food. I am also totally weird around my close friends which is how we have always been.

You don't have to be a normie but it will get you further in life. It's not what you know it's who you know. I was top of my class in my respective field of study/trade work and got lucky with my first connection to getting a job and then from there it was a result of people liking me and my personality and networking between other companies as well as mine and finding openings I could jump to.

Canadafag here. I remember not even looking at microphones because anything over 30$ was considered expensive to me. I grew up middle class and had expensive sports equipment and a decent TV at home and a nice computer but my parents didn't know anything about computers or how they worked. The only reason I had for getting a camera was for MSN and the only reason for a mic was for Flash MX which was something only I used (to make shitty flash animations btw) and we didn't see a need to purchase.
