I honestly think the game's first level is its ugliest.

All of Rare's games have good draw distance. Goldeneye's Dam level has no distance fog at all, only atmospheric fog (which puts a higher load on the GPU than no fog)

Every 3D shooter before Unreal was ugly as fuck. What's your point? I personally think Goldeneye looked a lot better than low-res Quake 1.

Meanwhile in Goldeneye, you can see the mountains on the other side of the dam, and all of the guard towers along the dam no matter how far you are from them.
