It is a bit long, but it's all valuable to set the story. If I can get up to the Master Sword in one sitting (Master Quest), before I break a sweat, I'm sure a little bit of text won't kill you.

For a massive Zelda fan, you are quite quick to give up on the game for the reasons that make it most Zelda and that's replay value. MM's unique time system allows it to offer a dynamic to that that no other game does.

Your first playthrough is about time-management/survival.
Your second playthrough is about nonlinear exploration of the game, and understanding time-management/survival.
Your third playthrough is focused on optimal speed management, A.K.A. beating the game with as few cycles as possible, or beating it as fast as possible, period.
Your fourth playthrough becomes about DANTE MUST DIE self-imposed challenges, i.e. "can I get X while still making it in time for Z, if I start Y?"

By the end of the game, you've gone from fearing the game, to seeing how much you can make the game fear you. And that's beautiful.
