Scorpion's MK1 fatality was probably the thing that made me say nope to the game. I had already seen Kano's and Sub Zero's but it seems cartoony dismemberment didn't register with me the way cartoon skeletons did.

I remember wanting the pc version of MK2 for some reason. They when we actually got it and I heard the game, I was like "nope, don't want nothing to do with that". That was before I saw any fatalities...
