I had the exact opposite. I fucking loved 2 as a kid and must have finished it 100% at least twice. I bought the third one two days ago and finished it this morning and I despised all the gimmicks (looking at you, skateboarding) they added into the game. Also the level design felt lacking compared to 2, each map was basically a circle with some tunnels hidden here and there. Music was okay-ish, inferior to 2 by far.
