It's his schtick. I don't think he necessarily agrees with everything he says; it's just entertaining to watch if you enjoy his schtick.

There's a movie reviewer who goes by "the Cinema Snob," and his character is this pompous, pretentious asshole who always talks shit about exploitation movies and says they're not as good as boring, pretentious movies that nobody actually likes. In real life, though, the guy who plays the Cinema Snob loves sleazy exploitation films and doesn't take them very seriously, and most of his reviews come from his personal collection. Brad Jones has stated many times, out of character, that his favorite movie of all time is Caligula, but he shits on Caligula for an hour as the Cinema Snob. Brad Jones actually doesn't care for Salo, but the Cinema Snob thinks it's a philosophical masterpiece, because that's funnier.
