An 8 or so year old point'n'shoot.
Kodak Easyshare m863 to be specific.
It doesn't do the picture justice by any means.

When I go to take photos, I try to have the CRT be the only source of light in the room; Both to avoid reflections as well as keep noise in the CRT portion of the picture to a minimum. Setting it into low ISO mode also helps.

Eventually you (at least I did) get a feel for both your camera and the CRT itself.

And remember to turn flash off.
