It was for lefties. If this piece of shit here is usable - and use it we did - then so was that for left handed people.

That thing and this thing always make me think immediately of Jazz Jackrabbit and the abject misery of of some of those times.

This might not be the exact thread for this, but fuck this thing.
Fucking Gravis junk. Everyone I knew had one and hated it. The problem was it was all we could get. Everything else of the shelves was some weird gimmick controller with the d-pad at an angle or a messed up button layout. So you went with the gravis, right? It looked like a real controller.
Holy shit does it stink, though. THe d-pad sucks and is too stiff and unresponsive. The buttons are too far apart from each other and they are actually inset into the face of the pad. The surface is almost flush. You have to press down into the pad to push the button. What on earth drove that design decision?
I tried to use it for weeks before resigning myself to keyboard control like everyone else and our shitty gravis gamepads all collected dust.

The screw-in 'joystick' add on actually made it worse if you can believe such a thing.

Weren't they outright one of those awful Gravis gamepads for home computers? At least it used the exact same molds for the body shell and buttons, and had that terrible screw in joystick for the Dpad (which apparently was designed to break).

This just in, from the "holy shit, this clone is actually really good" dept.

PC always had better gamepads than consoles.
