You have to play other SEGA CD games in order to fully appreciate Sonic CD, half of the fun is all the cool stuff they do with the hardware like the Special Stages and FMV cutscenes. It had a small library but a few very high quality games, and Sonic CD is among them. It's not a perfect game but it's a lot more fun once you learn how it's meant to be played. Maybe except for Wacky Workbench
