Nintendo TOTALLY dropped the ball in their dealings with sony!

Their actually considered sony's help in making a simple CD add on. They didn't feel the need for the help of an entity like sony for a magneto fucking optical add on!

Nintendo would have made a quad speed CD add on in addition to the N64DD. Sony would have countered with a minidisc add on for the PSX.

As a result, we'd have expansion packs for console games.

No, he means actual minidiscs, rewriteable optomagnetic discs in cartridges. Those used to be the "next big thing" for audio in the 90s.
