I mean, it Delinquent Duo and/or Confiscation ever come back... that'd just be a sign that it's too far gone really... seeing how so many of the cards I thought would never come out of the ban list are actually coming out and some people don't even play them, I mean, what happened to this card game? I barely recognize it anymore.

Well, I suppose context is key here, if you look into earlier Yu-Gi-Oh! formats, regardless if it's the OCG or TCG, these were the most dominant cards in the whole card game, by far, traps were usually weaker and also slower, while monsters mostly didn't have effects, so spells were the best cards, and these were the best spells.
