No. Well, mayhaps, I don't keep up with country men and their politics, could be civil war brewing right now and I'd be not aware.

I see, I too grew up with father who was mostly absent. Can be done, but some father figure is of necessary. My elder brother would show me exciting American movies, action, adventures, horror and such things, broadened horizons, also let me play exciting videogames, like Doom and James Bond on Nintendo 64 (father would explicitly prohibit me from playing James Bond game when he was still around), in truth, father was pansy, not mother, afraid I would become mass killer because I liked guns and videogames and American rock music.
Mother was fine, we would often watch James Bond movies in youth when they were on television.

Thing is, you have to either make sister realize her behavior is having detrimental effect on boys development, and then let him develop on himself from here (he will for certain, teenage years in school brings about group pressure, he must adapt), or, you will have to take burden yourself. Maybe he will not ever like Doom, that does not matter, what is of important is that boy matures and learns to handle world.
I suggest James Bond movies to acclimate him to light violence, thrills and to put idea in head that girls like man who is strong and takes care of self, this notion is of important to him, he is in puberty and is noticing girls now.

I think you do not understand, this is not about if he likes Doom, if he does not, fine, but clearly boy is very sheltered, and mother is responsible, this is detrimental to boys upbringing. He is teenager now, this cant be sustained, he will not grow up a socially healthy man.
