Emulating this game now.

There's some seriously fucked-up difficulty curves in it. Cave near Auria, have enemies that have a chance of essentially one-shotting an unsuspecting party. Then you get Shin and some dragon magic bullshit and it gets super easy for a while, flattens out, then you get Puka and it's laughably easy again.

At least there's autobattle.
