You know how people on this board have been extensively complaining about rising prices and no new retro gaming gear being made and all that kind of stuff?

THAT is the deal with this.

Incredibly doubtful!

For one thing, they can't have quite the same hopes of pouncing in into an exclusive circle, since PC games have been rereleased more, not to mention how the hardware could be very feasibly reproduced.

If you've got VGA and DVI-A ports, this would leave it's connectors filled up.

Emulation is another option, but that packs in very casually if you have a win98-xp dual boot machine with remotely new hardware. If you have an older system actually running dos, or something with a 3dfx card - something optimized/dedicated for retro-PC games, that's a bit different; same thing with an 86duinno when that gets ironed out!

Or course, it would be possible to have all three with a switchbox, I happened to scoop up a 2 port one for $10. The same thing would be possible with a monitor made with VGA, DVI-A and BNC connectors ... BUT, do any such splendors exist??!??!??

>>Grandma's 'Never Obsolete™' PC in the attic = ZSNES
Saywhu? That's justt silly, ZSNES is for VIA C3, Efficieon laptop, a refitted Geode thin client, or that 300mhz Vortex86.

And SNES9x is for Fruity-pi boards.

These engine recreations are so lame.

The good question here is what do I need to run normal blood?

This hardly justifies getting any i9 or i7 deca core or 220watt bulldozer.

I'm unsure about any sort of SBC, like this one. At the very least the sound would be off.

I've been considering using an old pentium with a small TV - not even at the limit of composite, I don't believe that would do it justice.

I've also looked at an old Atom, but I doubt win98 would function properly on something like that. I guess that would require dual booting win2k and freedos. The single PCI slot would be a nasty limit on such a setup - DOS games call for a sound card - I guess the old ES1371 based ensoniq soundblasters with the good driver wrappers. But most windows games would want a proper video card - and PCI limits that harshly.
