/vr/ - Retro Games

Rondo of Blood gets a shitload of discussion on /vr/, but the PC engine not nearly as much, except certain games like Ys, Soldier Blade and Bomberman 94. Curious to see where people toe the line.

Why is Rondo of Blood such a well known game (at least on /v/ and /vr/), while the PC Engine is still slowly rising in popularity?

What is the best way of playing this? Should I just go with the Virtual Console version?

Aladdin was his first platforming game.

You missed my point. Virgin's Aladdin simply has more variety and style.

Er, no. Abu tokens, genie tokens, scarabs, wishes... lots of stuff to find.

Is there a better game in the TG/CD library than pic related?

So if I want to play Castlevania: Rondo of Blood / Dracula X, is all I need a PC Engine Duo, or do I need some silly RAM expansion card or something?

it's still good, but I think it was really overrated due to being hard to acquire outside Japan for nearly 20 years.
