Just play the original, and if the translation "issues" are somehow unacceptable for you, the GBA version (or a romhack that applies the GBA changes to the original, I vaguely remember something like that existing)

I've played the pal FF6 on ps1 a few times so for something new I'll be emulating the FF3 us snes version and applying the Brave New World hack that hit 2.0 earlier this year, but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find an answer on in the notes (unless I missed it) or through google. I'm not too familiar with hacks so you'll have to excuse me if I sound like a fucking idiot.
Does it change the dialog? If it does, is it to something more in line with what the original translation should've been?
Can I apply the retranslation hack if it doesn't?
Are there others that would be compatible with BNW that generally improve or change up the experience including anything audio or visual related? For example I'm not a big fan of the shortened text for abilities and items, something like the GBA text would be much more aesthetic.
If the answer to all of that is a big fat no, then that's cool. I just want something that could be called a new 'definitive' experience, because I probably won't replay it again for another half-dozen years.
