It's a 10/10 game. I prefer the SNES >>> Mega Drive/Genesis. However, after playing Dynamite Headdy, it instantly become one of my favourites. It is fun and hectic and is like a full on acid trip. Funnily enough, I was high when playing it for the first and couldn't believe what I was seeing. And no, I am not a stoner; I was on oxycodone and fentanyl after an appendectomy. Fucking great game, besides the pain.

The SMS has the three best 8-bit games of all time, which are WBIII: A Dragons Trap, Phantasy Star and Golden Axe Warrior. It also has some other good games, such as Golvellius, Shinobi (best port of the original), DD and Kenseiden. It may have a small library, but it is sure kino.

Really? I l feel as though Sonic 1, Altered Beast, Golden Axe and Toejam&Earl are the epitome of style/gimmicks over substance. Both consoles have their fair share of this. Style and aesthetics, if done right, can improve a game. Demon's Crest has this dark and gothic atmosphere, which improves the experience just so much more.

For me, I've wiped out Super Metroid (who hasn't?), MW4, Bloodstained, Metroid Fusion, SOTN and Muramasa. If you haven't played a monster world game, I highly recommend emulating MB III: A Dragons Trap on the SMS. In my opinion, it is the best 8-bit game to ever grace the earth. The remake doesn't do it any justice for it, with the graphics look like a shitty flash game on Newgrounds.
