looks like a mix between an ever boring-er, blander amnesia, doom 4's hell visuals with some extra flesh elements sprinkled all around and doom 3's shitty lightning system for muh spooks

i wouldn't mind it being here if it looked even remotely entertaining, but sadly it doesn't

at least the doom 3 kiddies can look up to it i guess, they seem to be into shitty horror games.

So I'm working on the upgrades for the whip subitem, and my original idea isn't panning out the way I want as it's crashing the game.

How I want it to work is like this:

You pick up the first whip and get the shitty leather whip, then when you pick up another whip icon, it checks to see what you have, then jumps to a state where it takes your old whip and replaces it with the new one, that way the icon in your inventory will change. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

So I'm trying to make a projectile spawn little aesthetic sprites, and I want the sprites to vanish when the main projectile dies. I've tried using a_killchildren but I think I'm being cripplingly retarded or something because my aesthetic sprites remain

I was originally going by v.0.1 and shit, then I realized there's too much shit to be done so I expanded it out to 0.9.1 and onwards. I'm going with v1.0 once I get past v0.9.9

and yes, once Blaz has his last visual and audio touches made, and I got all of the monsters, it'll officially be v1.0

So here's pretty much all what's left before that:

For Monsters
>pinkies
>barons/knights
>cacos
>pain elementals
>lost souls
>archies
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>cyberdemons

Last few touches for Blaz
>A voice
>sword sprites
>feedback on gauntlet shots when they hit shit

Okay so after much thinking and headbuttingthewallinsheerfrustration I've decided to go with this idea for a POW'd up shield in GMOTA:

When you got a POW up and block with the shield, you fire some kinda short-ranged beam that either:

>lifesteals
>gives armor as you zap fuckers
>regens arcane energy
>inflicts knockback

or maybe something else if someone else has a better idea.

Yeah, sure. But let's look at the age of the wads in the pic and the ones you're suggesting to add. You can also make "Doom Classics" pic or whatever.
Also, considering DW has reputation here as That One Damn Fortress of Vanilla I wouldn't call them the right guys that I should always listen to. Even though they're staples in Doom community and other unrelated things, I doubt we have the same preferences regarding mapping design, detailing and gameplay decisions.
