Hey /crt/, just coming back with an update about a third party remote I purchased on eBay (www.ebay.com/itm/271501303753) a couple of weeks ago to replace my RM-870 that broke. I needed to get into the service menu on my Trinitron, and I'm pleased to say I was able to do so with this.

I browse /crt/ often and have learned a lot from you guys, so hopefully this info can help someone.
