I completely disagree. The original Pokemon is awesome but it's also kind of broken with Sattack and Sdefense being the same and psychic being way too powerful. On top of those improvements they made it much better looking in my opinion. I'm sure others disagree but I never liked the look of the close up sprites. A few weren't bad but most were fugly in my opinion. And that's from someone who sunk 800+ hours into it.
