Easy to learn, but the later levels are testicle crushingly hard.

Learn to walljump early. The last level especially, requires you to have that shit mastered.

Games that turned out to be much better than you expected.

I started playing Batman for NES the other day, and it really is great. I appreciate the fact that the game is difficult, but in a well-designed way that allows you to easily blast through the levels that you've mastered. I'm currently stuck on the second boss, the last bit of it that you have to destroy is really tricky.
