I remember the Super Mario World comic from NP got storytimed here or /co/, and people had fun with it.

I've recently become bedridden with an agonizing virus and I was looking to sink my teeth in one of the Playstation's RPG gems that I never got around to playing. Previous games I've played and enjoyed include: Suikoden II, Legend of Legaia, FFVII, Grandia II, Chrono Cross etc. The deciding factors for me are immersion and just straight up fun, bonus points for a good story/characters. I want to play all of these, but being broke and sick, I can really only choose one for right now, and I'd like to play the best. Here's what I'm considering:

- Xenogears
-Chrono Trigger [probably the fan-favorite, heard it's essential]
- Legend of Dragoon
- Final Fantasy VI
- Threads of Fate
- Vagrant Story [played it as a kid, remember little but I recall liking it a lot]
- Parasite Eve [A bit out of place maybe, but I love Silent Hill/RE]
- Grandia
- Wild Arms 1/2
- Breath of Fire IV


TL;DR: Bedridden and broke, which of these games would be the best choice to play?
