Many Halo fans accuse literally every other sci fi related thing a ripoff of Halo. That said I've never played either Halo 4 or Metroid Prime.

Ugh, why do so many companies hire these dropkicks.
Probably because they're the most vocal and clamor to be testers who just say "Oh yeah I love [franchise]!!" so they can get their foots in the door.
