sounds like Normality, you have to escape through the window, i had a demo of it back in the day, eventually picked uip the big box version and completed it, its currently on GOG.

my favourite p&c are prob broken sword 1+2 i played them on the psx with the mouse.

also curse of monkey island onpc, and monkey island 4 on ps2 was enjoyable after i got over the 3d graphics.

a few years back i played thru house of da vinci, really good game, puzzles are mechanical puzzle box types, all of which use real world logic, instead of non-sensical logic, played it on pc, turns out it was originally a mobile game which i would usually avoid, really recommend it, i need to play the sequels, probably play the fisrt one again before i do.

I think after I finish PD Grid, I might try to recreate the Apartment from Normality.
