That's the thing my man, you see, this >>10852423 was deliberately a dark scene, like, the sun goes out, but they lit the character, while in this >>10849519 is a sunny day, look how misplaced the lighting and its value is, and it's not the objectively crap output of the PS2, as it's a emulator screenshot.

So? This one does it just fine >>10852352, doubly so that they tastefully made the outlines colored instead of just black and leveled the colors vibrancy correctly, even on night stages.
I understand the somber atmosphere, it's just that they definitely could've done it better
